We want to introduce the badminton sport to the community. Specially to those
who have never tried badminton game. Our centre has already brought in many
brand new badminton players of all ages. Many have come back to the sport after
many years of wilderness. Numerous children have taken up badminton as a chosen
sport and enjoying.
If you are a player already and have never tried out the new badminton centre, this would be a good time to pop in and try the green mat court, see the model junior club in operation, explore the facilities of the centre such as excellent proshop, cafe, Table tennis facilities, Shuttle feeding machine and meet the top level coaches.
Table Tennis club session moved to Monday 7 - 9 PM.
Due to growth in the junior badminton club session and demand on court for badminton, the table tennis session has been moved to Monday 7PM instead of 6PM. Our apologies to those who turned up at 6PM for the TT session last week. Please contact Albert Cheng on 021529755 for more details.

Term 2 junior sessions are scheduled to start from the April 23rd. More spaces are available as we re structure the session numbers. players reaching the top group of the sessions are offered to move to next level of sessions to train with higher level players. Best time to enrol if you have not enrolled yet.
$40 / term for 3 terms. About 20 hrs of badminton for $40 in each term. Each session of 2 hrs include group coaching, computer scheduled games and competition, weekly assesment and ranking, excellent fitness program and great fun too. Sessions run until year end of school.
Let the kids start as early as 6 years old, compete & train with their peers, develop a competitive culture and fitness right from the beginning. Parents!! you don't have to push the kids or motivate .. or train with lots of expense. Just drop them before time and pick them up .. we will take care of everything. Parents!! you get a private court booking account for $25/year if your child is a member (normally $80/year)

We understand the busy schedules of parents/kids for studies and other activities. so have offered various options and children are able to attend alternative session with advance permission if they cannot attend their normal session.
School Holiday Program
School Holiday program 1 week completed and 2nd week starts on the 16th Apr Monday. What a way to enjoy the holiday, great games, fun, lunches, icecream and great movies
45 juniors enrolled for the first week and enjoyed the sessions. Many of them stayed for the lunch/desert and TV movie session and had great fun. kids ranging ages from 6 - 17 and all levels thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the session. Most of them are re enrolling for the 2nd week to further sharpen their skills and enjoy another series of great lunches and movies. Few more spaces available for new people to enrol. If you have been thinking of starting badminton for your kids, school holiday program is one of the best way to give a boost start and then join the weekly club sessions. Kids develop great friendship among their peers and develop a competitive culture and wanting to improve in the game. It was interesting to see few parents losing their battles to kids and extending sessions and re enrolling.

Thanks to all the members, parents & volunteers for providing great support and helping the centre to get established in the space of 4 months which is an excellent development.
All clubs sessions have commenced & Record breaking club membership subscribed for 2012.
All clubs sessions have commenced & Record breaking club membership subscribed for 2012. 8 Junior club sessions, 5 senior club sessions, 3 midweek sesssions have all been subscribed very well and commenced operation successfully. Court booking membership continues to increase as expected. As at today the total membership including court hire membership has exceeded 700 for 2012. All junior sessions will be limited to 40 though some sessions have passed 40 due to high demand. Senior sessions will be limited to 50. This will allow the centre to provide personal care, group coaching, training to junior sessions and also reserve courts for public booking regularly. Though we value aspects of fun & entertainment, all junior members regardless of their age are required to under go fitness programs, on court trainings with multi feeding, & training with knight trainer and competitions every week. Enrolments will continue in the next few weeeks to fill up the available spaces.

Auckland Table Tennis Association sets up its East Auckland table tennis club at the NZ Badminton centre. The club is scheduled to start from 5th March 2012 every Monday 6.30 - 8.30PM. Private coaching, group coaching will also be provided on Sunday afternoon by Aucklands best coaches on behalf of ATTA. Limited numbers will be accepted on a first come first basis. Parent Child session Half price court on Sunday 8-11 AM (Limited time only)
Few courts will be made available on Sunday mornings to encourage parents to train their children(under 15). Father or Mother must be present, coaching their child personally in order to get half price. Some used shuttles and guidance on coaching your children(if necessary) will be provided free of charge. You don't have to be a member or lighting account holder. Advanced booking is necessary.
